The lack of health facilities at the time when the Covid-19 pandemic spread over the area can put the lives of thousands of people at risk. Rambusey, a village belonging to Al-Qahtaniya sub-district, Baaj district, Nineveh governorate, Iraq, villagers had to cross tens of kilometers to reach to healthcare services. No PHC was allocated to be founded there by the Iraqi government. In 2021, Sunrise NGO, funded by Hungarian Interchurch Aid in partnership with Nadia’s Initiative built a healthcare center in the village and furnished it. Now, more than 600 families can get benefit from this center. Medical services are provided to the villagers and the surrounding residents, which can save the lives of thousands of people in this critical situation.
